Rockin’ R Ranch in Antimony, Utah

As you round the last bend in the road before entering Antimony, your eyes will be drawn to the thousand acres of lush green meadows of the Rockin’ R Ranch. Farming and ranching are staples of the economy in this small community which boasts a population of 125 people (give or take a few).

Otter Creek Lake State Park

Only three miles north of the Rockin’ R, Otter Creek Lake is home to world-class trout fishing. ATV riders can also access the famous Paiute Trail from here.

Escalante Petrified Forest State Park

A showcase of petrified wood and fossilized dinosaur bones. You’ll find huge petrified logs, some almost five feet wide, alongside hiking trails.

Nearby Airports

If your trip to Utah and the Rockin’ R Dude Ranch brings you by airplane, there are different airports available to you:

Salt Lake City International Airport:

This airport is approximately 3½ to 4 hours from the Rockin’ R Dude Ranch.
There are many direct flights into Salt Lake City from all over the world by
national and international airline carriers. From the airport you also have
access to many national car rental companies.

Las Vegas Airport:

This airport is approximately 4 hours from your Dude Ranch Vacation.
Like the Salt Lake Airport, this airport also has many flights from all over
the world and access to several national car rental companies. When traveling
from Las Vegas to the Ranch, you’ll cross from the Pacific Time Zone into the
Mountain Time Zone and will “lose” an hour.

Cedar City Regional Airport:

This airport is the closest to the Rockin’ R Ranch, at approximately 1½
hours away. It is served year round by Delta Airlines which is operated by Sky
West Airlines as a connecting flight through Salt Lake City, Utah. Both Avis
and Enterprise car rental companies are stationed at this airport, with more
car rental companies in the city of Cedar City, Utah.

St. George Regional Airport:

This airport is approximately 2½ hours from your Dude Ranch Vacation, and is
served year round by Delta, United, and American Airlines. Car rentals are available
at this airport from Avis, Budget, Enterprise, and Hertz. There are other car rental
companies in the city of St. George.

Airport Pickups:

The Rockin’ R Ranch does offer a shuttle service from the Salt Lake City
Airport to the Ranch for $400 round trip for one person (add $50 for each
additional passenger), and from the Cedar City Regional Airport to the Dude
Ranch for $250 round trip (add $30 for each additional passenger). Advanced
reservations must be made. However, we highly recommend that you rent a car.
This will allow you the flexibility of visiting the nearby scenic National
Parks and other attractions.
