Cowboy Roping & Bucking Barrel

Learning The Ropes

Lariats have long been a tool of cowboys to rope horses, cattle, and other livestock on a cowboy ranch.  At the Rockin’ R Ranch, we’ll “show you the ropes” and teach you some time-proven techniques in roping.

Feel the rough hemp against your palm as you swing the rope and snag your first “calf” head.  You’ll want to do it over and over again.

This activity is for younger children up to older adults.

Hang On Tight!

Although you can’t ride one of our real bulls or bucking broncos, you’ll want to hang on tight to our Bucking Barrel as your friends, family, and our staff help you have a wild ride.  Fun for young and old alike.  As the seconds click away, will you be the one to stay on the longest? Experience the fun of life on a Utah dude ranch.

    There are many activities outside of the Rockin’ R Ranch to provide you with many memories.
    See a few local non-supervised activities below.

    Fishing

    A few miles from the Rockin’ R Ranch in Antimony, Utah there are streams and a lake for your fishing pleasure. You’ll want to bring your own fishing gear; but we also have gear you can rent at the Front Desk.

    ATVing

    There are many trails near the Rockin’ R Ranch including the ATV Paiute Trail, rated as one of the best trails in the country by Dirt Wheels magazine. Bring your own ATV to explore the beauty of Southern Utah.

    Sightseeing

    The Rockin’ R dude ranch is only 45 minutes north of scenic Bryce Canyon National Park. You’ll want to find time before or after your stay with us to fully explore all this natural wonder has to offer.
