Family Reunions

Making Memories that Last a Lifetime

If you’re looking for family reunion venues, Rockin’ R Ranch can accomodate all family sizes. And the best part? Planning a country family reunion is a breeze. We’ve put together a fun program that includes lodging, meals, and a lot of activities for family members of all ages. Horseback riding, of course, is the main event. We also have other fun activities such as archery, hiking, and tubing down the river. You’ll especially enjoy your own rodeo where you will compete with family members for bragging rights. The fun doesn’t stop at dinner time.  After dinner you may find yourself roasting marshmallows around a campfire or learning some line dance moves and dancing to the beat of our western band. If you’d like to have time for your own family reunion activities or program, we will work our activity schedule around your own to make an itinerary just for your group that will ensure a memorable time for all. For those who are more interested in visiting with relatives than horse riding or tubing down the river, you’ll find many areas in and around our lodge where you can comfortably sit and renew old acquaintances or make new ones. There’s bound to be a fun time for all here at our authentic Utah dude ranch.

Family Reunion Includes:

Dude Ranch Lodging

We have a variety of rooms with some sleeping just two people and some sleeping up to five or even seven people. All rooms have private bathrooms.

Meals

Three delicious meals a day are included, starting with lunch on your first day and ending with breakfast on your final day. Your whole family won’t go hungry.

Horse Trail Rides

Our horseback trail rides will take you through the fields and meadows and up into the foothills behind the Ranch. (Age 8 and older)

Innertubing Down the River

Innertubing down the river is a fun adventure that will cool you off on a hot day. You won’t want to miss this adventure. (Age 10 and older)

Archery

Archery is a fun activity for the whole family. We have bows for children and adults. Our knowledgeable staff will teach you some basic skills and safety rules; and before you know it, you may be hitting the bullseye.

Hiking

Whether you’re young, old, or somewhere in between, you’ll enjoy a hike to Bandit’s Hideout or scenic Antimony Canyon. So put on some hiking shoes and join us for an adventure.

Your Own Rodeo

You’re the rodeo stars as you participate in activities such as barrel racing, pole bending, calf chasing, donkey relay, mutton bustin’, and more. This is a family favorite.

Wagon Rides

Take a fun wagon ride tour of our small town of Antimony. You’ll learn some fun facts about the town and its history, and you can even sing some fun songs.

Campfire

Finish off a perfect day by roasting marshmallows around a crackling campfire. Don’t forget to look up into the dark night sky where the stars here are bigger and brighter and seem to go on forever.

Western Entertainment

Enjoy an evening listening to our lively Western band. You’ll want to join in on the fun Western line dancing, using the moves we’ve taught you earlier.

Kids’ Horse Rides

Kids under age 8 can ride a horse while being led around the ranch property by one of our wranglers.

Children’s Crafts

Young children can make crafts to take home as a reminder of their fun time at the Rockin’ R Ranch dude ranch.

* The tubing and hiking activities are a few miles from the Ranch. Guests need to provide their own transportation to and from these venues.

South Ranch Cliffs Activities

(Unavailable in 2022) Planning for a family reunion means you have to think of enjoyable activities for large groups too. Our South Ranch Cliffs area is set amidst the calm and alluring south fork of the Sevier River and against majestic cliffs. Spend a morning or afternoon of your stay with us enjoying activities for all ages. You’ll enjoy competing in our Tomahawk-throwing contest and learning how to use a Bullwhip to pop balloons. Play a game of Horseshoes or Fish in the nearby river (we have some fishing equipment for rent, but you will probably want to bring your own). The kids will enjoy making leather or bead crafts.

For those age 12 and older, there’s even more adventure—Rock Climbing and Rappelling! Climb up our natural river cliffs to the most breathtaking views in the valley, or you can rappel over 65 feet onto the banks of the Sevier River. Cap off your enjoyable day with a delicious Dutch-oven meal cooked over the campfire. Of all the family reunion locations, this is definitely one you won’t want to miss!

For groups staying at least three nights, we can add this experience on to your family reunion package at a minimal cost, depending upon the size of your group. (This activity is not available to add on for groups staying only two nights.) When making your reservation, be sure to ask for a rate specifically tailored to your group.
